This year, our donor celebration was held on May 8^th at the River Rock Show Theatre. It was an inspiring and joyful event connecting with donors to celebrate their philanthropic leadership, contributions, and tremendous commitment towards making a positive impact on health care in Richmond. Guests also learned about the impact donors have had and the future of Richmond health care, including the Yurkovich Family Pavilion.

2024 Donor Awards

Community Cares Award Presented to Dan On

This award was created to recognize a recipient who has helped bring people together from our culturally diverse community. Each year, an individual, company, family, or organization is celebrated for their outstanding community leadership in spreading the joy of giving with Richmond Hospital Foundation.

This year’s recipient, Dan On, is founder and owner of Richmond-based Dan-D Foods Ltd. Dan made a transformational donation in 2023 to help ensure the purchase of a second CT scanner and the enhancement of patient care in the new Yurkovich Family Pavilion. “Excellent health care is important to everyone and I was inspired by my employees and business partners to make a gift to help the community where we live, work, and visit,” shares Dan. It is also Dan’s vision to inspire other Richmond businesses and families to support local health care through his family philanthropy.
